About This Benefit
Any veteran, widow/widower of a veteran, or spouse of a 100% disabled veteran who achieves a passing score (70+) on a state civil service examination is automatically ranked in Rank 1 of the eligibility list, regardless of actual score. Applies to open, non-promotional examinations.
