About This Benefit

The Helping Heroes Grant provides $1,000 per semester for full-time students (12+ hours) or $500 for part-time students (6-11 hours). Available to 375 decorated post-9/11 veterans annually on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requires Iraq/Afghanistan Campaign Medal or similar service medals.

Helping Heroes Grant is a state benefit administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for eligible veterans in Tennessee.
