About This Benefit
Texas operates nine state veterans homes in Amarillo, Big Spring, Bonham, El Paso, Floresville, McAllen, Temple, Tyler, and Houston providing skilled nursing care to eligible veterans. A tenth home is planned for Corpus Christi.
Texas State Veterans Homes is a state benefit administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for eligible veterans in Texas.
